Federal Depository Program
An important part of the Nebraska Library Commission Publications Clearinghouse Service is
participation in the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO)
depository program for federal government publications.
Federal documents are selected to support the needs of the Library Commission's customers and the research and development needs of the
state. The Commission currently receives about 2% of the
materials made available through the program.
The Library Commission works with the regional depository at the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln's Love Library to support the federal depository network
in Nebraska. Today there are nearly 1400 participating libraries nationwide,
including 12 in Nebraska.
