Online State Documents Program

The Library Commission's Publications Clearinghouse Service has worked since 1972 to provide public access to and preservation of government information at the federal and state level. Print publications are available for loan. Many Nebraska state publications are available in electronic format via these web sites.

  • State Government Publications Online A Library Commission site linking to publications on state agency web sites plus publications scanned or downloaded to a Library Commission server to provide permanent access.

  • Library Commission Catalog includes records for state publications available for loan. Electronic versions of downloaded publications are linked from the records.

  • What's Up Doc category of the Library Commission blog featuring lists of new state documents received, e-docs alert lists, and government information news.

Additional Resources

  • Nebraska Public Documents A searchable database providing free access to digitized historic annual reports of Nebraska state agencies. Eventually the database will include reports from 1890-1956. The database is hosted on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Love Library site. Providing the digital collection is a collaborative effort of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Omaha, the Nebraska Library Commission, and the Nebraska State Historical Society.
