2017 E-rate Recipients

Nebraska Libraries Receive E-rate Discounts

E-rate funding commitments are released weekly as applications are reviewed and approved for Funding Year 2017 (July 1, 2017-June 30, 2018). The list below will be updated as new funding waves are announced.

As of April 24, 2018, Nebraska libraries have been awarded $211,715 in discounts on their Internet access and telecommunications costs. Discounts range from 10 to 90 percent, with 77 of the state's public libraries participating. 52 libraries have been awarded Voice service discounts, 67 libraries have been awarded discounts on Internet services, and 3 libraries have been awarded a discount on Internal Connections.

Discounts are awarded on a sliding scale based on the percentage of students in the local school district who are eligible for the free and reduced school lunch program, an indicator of the local level of need, and the County's Rural or Urban status as determined by the U.S. Census.  

The Nebraska Library Commission provides education, training, and consultation services to Nebraska library staff to assist with E-rate applications.
