    Movies

A popular type of programming is showing films. The Nebraska Library Commission purchases a license for public libraries that are showing films to comply with copyright restrictions. The films shown must be on the license company's list, and the program must obey certain other restrictions as well. Showing a film, whether DVD, reel-to-reel, downloaded, streamed, or broadcast, without permission or license, is a violation of copyright and therefore illegal.
